Course Description
This is a one year course in basic chemistry which prepares students for introductory college chemistry courses. The course encourages students to develop inquiry skills, reading comprehension skills of science textbooks, and math and problem solving skills. Hands-on labs make the learning more interesting and facilitate the understanding of concepts as well as introduce students to the use of technology when performing scientific investigations.
Supplies Needed
Internet access and a device (cell phone, iPad, laptop, etc.) that can be used to access Google Classroom on a daily basis, earbuds/headphones, safety goggles, T1 84 graphing calculator, 1.5" 3-ring binder, notebook paper, package of file tab dividers, one 8.5x11 Mead 5 Star 1 Subject spiral bound notebook, pencils, blue, black, and red pens.
