Course Description
This course provides an introductory study of the structure and function of the human body. Topics include the study of eleven body systems as well as an introduction to homeostasis, cells, tissues, senses, nutrition, acid-base balance, electrolytes, and genetics. Upon course completion, students will demonstrate a basic understanding of the fundamental principles of anatomy and physiology and their interrelationships. Laboratory exercises include specific organ dissections and observations of physiology.
Supplies Needed
Internet access and a device (cell phone, iPad, laptop, etc.) that can be used to access Google Classroom on a daily basis, earbuds/headphones, safety goggles, 1.5" 3-ring binder, package of file tab dividers, notebook paper, pencils, colored pencils or pens, blue, black, and red pens.
